In line with national and local guidelines the practice has signed up to the COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Phase 1 of the programme will be via the hospital and their hubs, they will be vaccinating:
- any patient due to be discharged
- patients aged 80 or above who are attending for an appointment
- care home workers
- vulnerable hospital staff
Phase 2 of the programme will be via the 5 Derby City Primary Care Networks who are running a hub from Derby Arena in Pride Park, Derby. We have started the process of organising this and hope that in the next coming weeks we will be able to provide further information of when appointments will be made available to our patients. In the meantime please could we ask you not to contact the practice regarding the COVID-19 vaccination.
If you wish to help with the COVID-19 vaccination programme please view the “Join the NHS COVID-19 vaccine team” page on the NHS website.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Update (4 January 2021)
We are pleased to advise that Derby Practices have recently been allocated a small number of vaccinations, as such we are prioritising our most vulnerable patients. In line with public health guidance we have started to book patients in for their first vaccination in January 2021 and, with the latest evidence suggesting that the first dose provides protection for most people for up to 3 months, their second vaccination in March 2021 (12 weeks apart). As before please wait to be contacted by the Practice regarding your COVID-19 vaccination.
When will I get my COVID-19 vaccine?
The CCG have produced a useful guide to show when patients are likely to be invited for their COVID-19 vaccination, for more information please view the “When will I get my COVID-19 vaccine?” guide.
